I recently got married and moved to York – end of August 2022. Before that I have been working on WordPress websites in Saltaire, Bradford area for over 10 years. York is such a beautiful city and I am thrilled this is my home. Having moved to York I am interested to explore. Coming up is this opportunity to visit certain York buildings that are usually not open.

Here is my list of what I am wanting to see:

  1. Bootham School – my wife works there and would be nice to see
  2. Marygate Tower – that round tower on Bootham that looks like it is from a fairy tale!#
  3. Kings Manor – visited by famous kings. Why not?
  4. Guildhall –  15th Century building that hosted King Richard III and money paid to hand over Charles I.
  5. Monk Bar – I love the city walls. This is the North West one!

and of course York Minster! Though now a local – I can always get in free there
